Why most of the bridal shops do not open on sunday? I have seen most of the bridal shops in Sydney not open on Sunday, some of them not open on Monday. most of us working 9-5 M-F, and Sat & Sun are the only two days we free. Why they not open on Sunday? Don't they want business?

What is the standard size that bridal shops have in their stores when you go in for a session to try dresses? I'm worried that they won;t have my size in store when i go to look for my gown. I'm a size 14 and I am scared that I will have limited choice when trying on gowns. i would like to avoid the plus size section as i find plus size dresses look like plus size dresses.

Where are some good bridal shops in Houston, TX? I am from south Louisiana and am gonna be going to Houston in a couple of weeks to look for a wedding dress. If anybody knows of some really good shops in that area could you please let me know. I just don't wanna open up the phone book and spend all day looking for places that will waste my time. Have you had luck with one of those online "custom-made" bridal gowns shops? I've researched a few of the popular ones, Julius Bridal being one of them, and the only thing that concerns me is that a lot of the examples I've seen have been puffy ballgowns, and the dress I want replicated (http://www.amsale.com/bridal/amsalecollection/071207/0712527.shtml) is really not like that, so I'm wondering if these shops would be able to pull off a more streamlined gown. Has anyone gone through one of these places that's NOT gotten a poofy ballgown?,And can you provide me with before and after pictures of the gowns so I can see the work for myself? Thanks so much!

Does anyone know about starting a bridal shop? I have been thinking about starting a bridal shop. Where we live there are less than a handful of them, you have to travel about 30 miles to get to the bigger city to have a HUGE selection of bridal shops. Every shop I go into seems to have a ton of business. I know I need to do some more research on it, but I thought I would find out if anyone has any advice on starting a bridal shop? Start up costs? If it seems like it would be a good investment? ANY type of information at all, anyone that owns one, has worked in one, or knows anyone that has owned one. Was it a good business venture. How can I start an online bridal shop? I LOVE bridal and formal gowns. I would love to open an online bridal shop like some of the ones I have seen. And prhaps eventually a brick and mortar store once I have raised enough money. I have a decade of retail sales experience in brick and mortar stores. I have designed many websites for various things. I don't currently have the capital to open a brick and mortar store, and I don't know how to become an authorized dealer.
